Ten recommendations for working with our members

Ten helpful recommendations that will allow your tradeshow design partner to deliver optimum results:

  1. Define your tradeshow objectives and provide comprehensive briefing material.  The more precise and detailed the information you provide, the better prepared the architects and designers will be to tailor the booth concept to your needs.
  2. Begin to plan your tradeshow participation early-on. Ad-hoc decisions are frequently more costsly and frequently only the second-best solution.
  3. Select three or four tradeshow design companies you would like to have a detailed briefing meeting with. Each briefing meetings will take up your time and will cost you money. During briefings, provide comprehensive information on your company, corporate culture, identity and design. It goes without saying that you should also provide details on your planned tradeshow appearance. The FAMAB briefing checklist, which is enclosed with our brochure, will assist you with this process. If you do not have one in your package, please download it from unter www.famab-net.de abzurufen.
  4. Always remember: Every draft compiled costs money. Booth specialists spend hours on creating a customized booth concept that aims at making you successful. These efforts will have to be remunerated. The HOAI will give you a basic idea of how much you will have to spend. You can download find it on  www.famab-net.de as well. And please bear in mind: There is no such thing as a free presentation. The costs of drafts not billed separately are always included in other items.
  5. Have vendors present all concepts to you – ideally to your entire forum of decision-makers. Develop an assessment system that is as objective as possible and use it to select your tradeshow design partners. Working with the lowest priced tradeshow builder rarely brings the desired results.
  6. After viewing the presentations, make a swift decision on which partner you are going to work with. Notify all bidding companies of your decisions. Waiting too long to place the order prevents the expedient scheduling of capacities and causes price and cost increases.
  7. Accompany the project at all times and immediately notify your partners of any planned deviations, for instance if you are going to utilize different exhibits than those originally scheduled. Modifications that have to be performed after the booth has already been set up frequently result in substantial time and cost expenditures. Very rarely do they deliver optimum results.
  8. Agree upon a booth handover date with the competent project manager. The same applies to the return of the booth upon conclusion of the event.
  9. Immediately after the tradeshow, arrange a meeting with your tradeshow design partner. This is the time for constructive criticism.
  10. Plan to work with one tradeshow design company in the long-term. The better your tradeshow design partner knows you, the better equipped the company will be to serve you effectively.
